BunnyCDN Is Now HTTP/2 Ready

Posted on .

We are pleased to announced that today, we have enabled all the BunnyCDN Pull Zones to support the new HTTP/2 technology for all our customers. We are proud to be one of the first CDN providers to offer HTTP/2. This new update allows us to even further improve the performance of our Content Delivery Network and decrease the load time of your website.

These are the two main advantages of HTTP/2:

Multiplexed Streams

Multiplexing the network streams enables your browser to load multiple files simultaneously, breaking them into smaller parts and then reassembling them in the end. This removes the need to make multiple HTTP requests, thus reducing latency and increasing the download speed, especially for image heavy websites.

Header Compression

With HTTP/1 each request the server sends its own HTTP header for each file, adding additional download time and bandwidth usage. With HTTP/2 however, all the headers are packed together into a compressed binary block. It gets across faster and uses less bandwidth.

Best of all, you don't have to do anything. The service is already active for everyone.
